“What drew me to Voices on Paper Global was the platform’s dedication to amplifying those often overlooked,” Dr. Green shares. “It’s more than a writing collective—it’s a movement that bridges continents and cultures with the stories that matter most.” Her writing, rooted in decades of military service and humanitarian work, seeks to spark dialogue around issues like representation, equity, and the unseen labor that sustains institutions.

Her professional journey—marked by milestones such as the Air Force’s Inaugural Marathon and advanced degrees in joint warfare and human resources—equips her to explore global issues with rare authority. “Manpower is more than numbers,” she explains. “It’s about the people behind the positions—their dignity, their development, their future.”

Dr. Green’s writing integrates personal experience with historical context, particularly in the areas of military inclusion, veteran care, and the evolution of women in defense leadership. Through Voices on Paper Global, she reflects on the transformation from a young Airwoman navigating base life to a senior-level civilian overseeing critical Air Force Life Cycle Management Center initiatives.

“Writing allows me to process the journey—what I’ve overcome, and what I’ve contributed,” she says. “It also allows me to give back by telling stories that can guide the next generation of leaders.”

A proud member of the American Legion, Dr. Green channels her narrative voice to honor veterans, educate youth, and spotlight Black history through community events like the Four Chaplains Ceremony and science fairs for local students. Her involvement underscores a powerful truth: the stories we tell can uplift not only individuals but entire communities.

She emphasizes that global storytelling must be both authentic and respectful. “It’s not about speaking for others—it’s about creating space with others,” she explains. “That’s how we move from dialogue to real understanding.”

Dr. Green encourages emerging writers to lead with courage and research with intention. “Be true to your experiences, but do the work to understand the world you’re writing for,” she advises. “Your story is your compass—it will point you to the hearts that need to hear it.”

Whether analyzing manpower systems or writing about legacy and leadership, Dr. Green approaches each task with a sense of calling. Her work—both in and outside of government—exemplifies how personal history, when harnessed with purpose, can drive global progress.
